Overview

The Ministry of Education has called applications for the 1st Efficiency Bar Examination for Officers of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service (SLTS) – 2026. This examination will be conducted by the Department of Examinations in September 2026 for eligible teachers serving in National and Provincial Schools across Sri Lanka.

This examination has been introduced according to the amendments published in the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service Minute. Eligible officers are encouraged to submit their applications online before the closing date.

Who Can Apply?

According to the official gazette notification, applications are invited from eligible officers serving in the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service who are required to complete the First Efficiency Bar Examination under the applicable service minute provisions.

1. Visit the Department of Examinations online application portal.
2. Select the relevant Efficiency Bar Examination.
3. Fill in all required personal and service details.
4. Verify information carefully.
5. Submit the application online.
6. Download and print two copies.
7. Obtain necessary certifications.
8. Keep one copy for your records.
