The Ministry of Energy has announced the reintroduction of the National Fuel Pass (QR Code) system for fuel distribution across Sri Lanka. The system became mandatory from 6.00 AM on March 15, 2026.

Private passenger transport buses will receive fuel through arrangements made by the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
