1. Sea Traffic Co-ordinator – Galle / Trincomalee
Number of Vacancies: 03
Salary Category: Supra Grade 6.3 (SG 3)
Basic Salary: Rs. 53,425/-
Annual Increment: Rs. 1,150/-
Approximate Gross Salary: Rs. 132,000/- per month
Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have passed three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination at one sitting.
Applicants should also possess the relevant valid maritime Certificate of Competency issued or recognised by the Director General of Merchant Shipping of Sri Lanka, or an equivalent recognised certificate, as specified in the official advertisement.
Relevant requirements also include:
- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) certificate or equivalent.
- Radar surveillance certificate recognised by the relevant maritime authority or equivalent.
- Approximately one year of experience as a duty officer on a ship.
- Ability to communicate using VHF communication equipment.
- Ability to speak English fluently.
Age Limit: Applicants should generally be between 18 and 45 years, subject to the conditions stated in the official advertisement.
2. Apprentice Diver – Colombo
Number of Vacancies: 02
Salary Category: Technical 7.3 (T 3)
Basic Salary: Rs. 46,665/-
Annual Increment: Rs. 1,005/-
Approximate Gross Salary: Rs. 125,330/- per month
Qualifications
- Passed the G.C.E. O/L Examination in six subjects, including Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Possess a diving certificate issued by the Government or a recognised institution.
- Possess the relevant technical/vocational qualification in Machinist or Welder trade, including an accepted full-time certificate, NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent recognised qualification as detailed in the advertisement.
- Approximately three years of relevant experience at a government or recognised private institution.
- Applicant must be unmarried.
Age Limit: Applicants should generally be between 18 and 30 years, subject to the conditions stated in the vacancy notice.
General Requirements
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should possess the required physical and mental fitness.
- Should have an excellent character.
- Applicants may be required to undergo a medical examination.
- Selected applicants should be prepared to serve in any part of Sri Lanka where required.
