Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects with at least four credit passes.
Applicants must also have passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in all subjects in the Science Stream, excluding the Common General Paper, and obtained the qualifying level required to follow a tertiary education course.
AND
Applicants must have completed a course relevant to the post at not below NVQ Level 5, as determined by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
Accepted relevant qualifications may include:
- National Diploma in Electronic Engineering
- National Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering
- National Diploma in Engineering Science
- NDT
- HNDE
- NDES
- OUSL relevant diploma qualification
- City & Guilds Advanced Diploma
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age. The upper age limit does not apply to eligible internal applicants.
Salary Scale
Salary Code: MA 2-3 – 2025
Rs. 52,700 – 800 × 10 – 1,190 × 11 – 1,320 × 10 – 1,350 × 10 – Rs. 100,490
The full salary scale will be implemented from 01 January 2027. Until then, salaries will be paid according to Schedule II of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025.

Recruitment and Training
Qualified candidates will initially be recruited as Trainee Technical Assistants through an interview.
The training period will be six months. Candidates who successfully complete the training based on their performance will be appointed as Technical Officers.
Selected applicants must sign a financial bond at the beginning of the training period, agreeing to serve the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation for five years after completing the training.

- Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens.
- Applicants must be physically fit and in good health.
- The interview will be conducted as a structured interview.
- Vacancies will be filled according to the order of merit based on interview marks.
