Salary and Allowances
Monthly salary scale:
Rs. 47,240 – 9 × 540 / 10 × 590 / 3 × 680 – Rs. 60,040
The minimum initial monthly remuneration, including all applicable allowances, will be approximately Rs. 87,000.
Educational Qualifications
- Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects in not more than two sittings.
- A credit pass must have been obtained for Sinhala or Tamil Language.
- Simple passes must have been obtained for Mathematics and English.
Required Service Experience
Applicants must possess either of the following:
Option 01: At least 10 years of commendable service in one of the Regular Armed Forces or the Sri Lanka Police Service.
Applicants must hold a rank not lower than Sergeant in the Army, Police, or an equivalent rank in another Armed Force.
Option 02: Ten years of satisfactory service in salary group “A” or “B” on the Staff of the Secretary-General of Parliament as at the closing date.
Age Limit
The age requirement will be calculated as at 17 August 2026. The upper age limit does not apply to eligible members of the Staff of the Secretary-General of Parliament.
Selection Procedure
Recruitment will be conducted based on merit through:
- Written Examination – Language proficiency and general knowledge will be evaluated. The maximum score is 100 marks.
- Interview – Applicants will be called based on written examination results. The interview carries a maximum of 100 marks.
