Junior Executive IT, Card Operations and Security Officer Vacancies

The National Savings Bank – NSB Sri Lanka has invited applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for several permanent banking, information technology, card operations and security-related job vacancies.

The available positions include Deputy Regional Security Officer, Technical Security Officer, Junior Executive IT, Executive Card Operations and Junior Executive Card Operations.

1. Deputy Regional Security Officer – Grade III Class III

Eligibility and Experience

• Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
• Applicants must have served for at least five years in one of the eligible Police or Armed Forces ranks.
• Eligible ranks include Chief Inspector of the Sri Lanka Police, Captain of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant of the Sri Lanka Navy or Flight Lieutenant of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
• Applicants who resigned or retired on medical grounds will not be considered.
• Applicants must be able to ride a motorcycle.
• A valid driving licence for motorcycles and dual-purpose vehicles is required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise security operations within assigned NSB regions.
• Direct, monitor and review regional security systems.
• Coordinate with the Head Office on security matters.
• Ensure a safe environment for NSB employees, customers and visitors.
• Coordinate new security deployments.
• Report security concerns to management.
• Supervise maintenance of firefighting equipment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Security.

2. Technical Security Officer – Grade III Class III

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a minimum Diploma qualification from a recognized institution in one of the following fields:

• Electronics
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Security Systems
• CCTV Technology
• Telecommunication
• Another related technical field

Required Experience

• At least five years of service in one of the specified Police or Armed Forces ranks.
• Practical experience in electronic security systems.
• Installation, operation and maintenance of CCTV surveillance systems.
• Experience with bank security alarm systems.
• Experience with access-control and intrusion-detection systems.
• Ability to diagnose and analyse technical faults.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Accounting, Information Technology, Science or Mathematics.

Applicants must also possess a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka or an equivalent professional qualification in Banking and Finance.

Certification or training related to card operations, payment systems, fraud prevention, risk management and customer-service management is required.

• Handle switch-to-settlement reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and card-scheme requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments and units.
• Manage assigned tasks and support subordinate employees.
• Support initiatives to increase card usage and virtual-card promotion.
