Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Applicants must have been sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must possess at least three years of active professional legal experience after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law.
OR
Applicants must possess at least three years of experience in a legal post at a government institution after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law. Relevant experience may include:
- Handling litigation and coordinating with the Attorney General’s Department.
- Legal work relating to agreements and contracts.
- Legal work connected with relevant Acts and legislation.
- Drafting Bills, circulars, regulations and other legal documents.
- Legal, judicial or inquiry work conducted by statutory institutions.
Age Limit
The applicant must be not less than 21 years and not more than 45 years of age as of the application closing date.

Rs. 82,150 – Rs. 195,970
SL-1-2025 Salary Code
Salary scale: Rs.82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs.195,970, subject to the applicable provisions of Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.
Selection Method
Recruitment will be made based on the results of a structured merit assessment interview conducted by an interview board appointed by the Public Service Commission.
