Asidisi – Mass Media Scholarship Programme 2026 (Sri Lanka)
The Ministry of Health & Mass Media, Sri Lanka has officially called applications for the “Asidisi – Mass Media Scholarship Programme 2026”. This scholarship programme aims to enhance the professionalism, knowledge, and skills of Sri Lankan journalists by providing financial assistance for higher education and professional media training courses.

🎯 Objective of the Scholarship
The scholarship programme has been introduced to improve the professionalism, academic qualifications, and technical competencies of journalists working in Sri Lanka's media industry.
👥 Eligible Applicants
- Journalists classified under Extraordinary Gazette No. 2413/44 dated 05.12.2024.
- Must have completed a minimum of two (02) years of service.
- Must be between 18 and 55 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Media Accreditation Card for 2025/2026 issued by the Department of Government Information.
- Must be selected for or currently following a media-related educational programme.
- Previous scholarship recipients must have successfully completed the previously funded course.

📌 Payment Structure
- 50% of the approved scholarship amount at the commencement of the course.
- 25% as the second installment.
- Remaining 25% upon successful completion and submission of certificates.
📝 Selection Process
Applicants will be shortlisted and interviewed by a selection panel appointed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health & Mass Media. Final decisions will be made by the Ministry.
