Salary Scale
Rs. 72,650 – Rs. 122,970
The basic salary applicable as at 01 January 2026 is Rs. 65,633 together with approved allowances.
Qualifications
- Degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Tourism or a relevant field.
- Age: 22–45 years.
- Applicants must satisfy the Western Province permanent residency requirement.
POST 02
Development Officer
Service Category
Associate Officer – MA 3
Salary Scale
Rs. 53,940 – Rs. 94,980
Basic salary applicable as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 49,831, plus approved allowances.
Qualifications
- A degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
- Age: 22–45 years.
- Western Province residency requirement applies.
POST 03
Management Assistant
Service Category
Management Assistant (Non-Technical) – MA 1-1
Salary Scale
Rs. 46,220 – Rs. 83,390
Basic salary applicable as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 43,312.
Qualifications
- Passed six subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. O/L Examination with four credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics.
- Passed at least three subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. A/L Examination, excluding the General Test.
- Recognized vocational qualification relating to computer word processing / typing.
- Age: 18–45 years.
Service Category
Primary Skilled – PL 3
Salary Scale
Rs. 43,280 – Rs. 67,040
Basic salary applicable as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 40,834.
Qualifications
- Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. O/L Examination in not more than two sittings with at least two credit passes.
- Valid licence for driving heavy vehicles.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience after obtaining the driving licence.
- Age: 18–45 years.
Service Category
Primary Non-Skilled – PL 1
Salary Scale
Rs. 40,500 – Rs. 62,530
Basic salary applicable as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 38,488.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have appeared for the G.C.E. O/L Examination.
- Age: 18–45 years.
- Western Province permanent residency requirement applies.
Western Province Residency Requirement
Applicants must have been permanent residents of the Western Province during the immediately preceding three-year period as specified in the official recruitment notice.
General Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Applicant should possess excellent character.
- Applicant must possess the physical and mental fitness required to perform the duties of the post.
- Applicant should be able to serve in any part of the Western Province.
- Applicants must satisfy the specified Western Province residency requirement.
Recruitment Method
Recruitment will be carried out based on the results of a structured interview.
