The latest Sri Lanka Government Gazette 2026 has been officially released with several important government vacancies, competitive examinations, registrar appointments, and department notices. Applications are now open for Railway jobs, Registrar General vacancies, Agriculture Department exams, and more.

Advertisements for future Gazette publications must be submitted at least two weeks before publication. For the May 22, 2026 Gazette, the deadline is May 08, 2026 before 12.00 Noon.

Applications are invited for several unpaid Registrar vacancies across Sri Lanka under the Registrar General’s Department.

Districts Available:

Kandy, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Galle, Hambantota, Matara, Badulla, Ratnapura, Monaragala, Puttalam, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura and more.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Sri Lankan citizen
• Age between 30 – 55 years
• Permanent resident in relevant area
• Property ownership required
• G.C.E A/L qualification required
• Sinhala/Tamil knowledge preferred

Closing Date: 08 June 2026

• Labour Tribunal Shorthand Translator deadline extended until May 30, 2026.
• Agrarian Development Officer Open Exam applications open from May 11, 2026.
• Electronic Gazette publication is legally valid under Gazette Act No.19 of 2006.

• Late entry after 30 minutes is prohibited.
• Mobile phones and notes are not allowed.
• Cheating may result in permanent exam disqualification.
• Candidates must sit only in assigned seats.
• Only exam number should be written on answer sheets.
