This is a Merit Stream recruitment examination. It is not a general open recruitment for all applicants. Candidates must satisfy the public service experience and other requirements stated in the official circular.
Salary – Sri Lanka Administrative Service Grade III
Salary Code: SL-1-2025
Monthly Salary Scale: Rs. 82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs. 195,970
Other allowances payable to public officers by the Government from time to time will also apply.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must satisfy one of the following service requirements:
- Be an officer holding a permanent and pensionable post in the Supra Class of the Management Service Officers’ Service or Provincial Management Service Officers’ Service;
- OR have not less than 20 years of active and satisfactory service in the Management Service Officers’ Service or Provincial Management Service Officers’ Service, including at least 10 years of active and satisfactory service in Grade I.
Age & Other Requirements
- Maximum Age: 55 years.
- Must be confirmed in the relevant service/post.
- Must possess a satisfactory service record.
- Must meet the disciplinary requirements specified in the official circular.
- Must have earned all salary increments during the immediately preceding five years.
- Required qualifications must have been completed in all respects by 10 August 2026.
- A candidate cannot sit this Merit Stream recruitment examination more than 3 times.
- Officers retired before the application closing date are not eligible.

Recruitment will be based on the total marks obtained from:
- Written Competitive Examination
- Evaluation of Seniority
- Structured Interview
Candidates will be selected according to merit based on the aggregate marks and the number of available vacancies.
