Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following admission requirements.
Option 01 – G.C.E. Advanced Level At least three passes in all three approved subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination. Applicants who sat for the G.C.E. A/L examination in 2023 or before must have obtained at least 30% in the Common General Test. Applicants must also have six G.C.E. O/L passes, including Mathematics, Tamil or Sinhala language, obtained in not more than two sittings.
OR
Option 02 – Higher National Diploma Higher National Diploma in Accounting – HNDA, or Higher National Diploma in Management – HNDM.
OR
Option 03 – National Certificate in Business Studies National Certificate in Business Studies, two-year course, awarded by the Sri Lanka Technical College.
OR
Option 04 – Book-Keepers Higher Certificate Book-Keepers Higher Certificate in Commerce awarded by the Sri Lanka Technical College or Polytechnic Institutes of the Ministry of Education.
OR
Option 05 – Professional Qualifications G.C.E. O/L together with one of the following qualifications:
- AAT Stage III
- CIMA Stage II
- Chartered Accountancy Sri Lanka – CASL Stage II
OR
Option 06 – Other Qualifications Any other qualification accepted by the Senate of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.

Applicants will be selected through a selection test and/or interview, as determined by the university.

- Create an account or log in to the application system.
- Select the Bachelor of Commerce General External Degree Programme.
- Complete the online application form with accurate personal and educational information.
- Upload the relevant certified copies and other required documents.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of LKR 1,500.
- Review the information and submit the completed application online.
- Keep a downloaded or printed copy of the submitted application and payment confirmation.
Closing Date: Complete the online application on or before 28 August 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be accepted.
