🎓 Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have passed the
G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination within not more than
two sittings with:
- Passes in six subjects
- At least two Credit Passes
- Sinhala / Tamil / English included
- Mathematics included
🎂 Age Limit
Applicants must be not less than 18 years and not more than 28 years of age as at 28 September 2026.
Eligible Date of Birth:
Applicants should have been born on or before 28 September 2008 and on or after 29 September 1997.
📏 Physical Requirements
👨 Male Applicants
Minimum Height: 5 ft 6 in
Chest: 32 inches
👩 Female Applicants
Minimum Height: 5 ft 2 in
Applicants must also possess the required physical and mental fitness to perform the duties of the post and to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
⚠️ Important: All applicants are required to be unmarried and should satisfy all other eligibility requirements stated in the official Gazette notification.
🏃 Physical Fitness Assessment
Eligible applicants will be required to undergo a preliminary physical fitness assessment. Candidates obtaining the required minimum overall marks at this stage will proceed to the written examination.
Fitness activities include:
- 1000 metre running
- Chin-ups
- Push-ups
- Sit-ups
- Squat Thrust
- Memory / observation assessment
📝 Written Examination
The written examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English. The language medium selected in the application cannot be changed later.

💰 Salary
Salary Scale
Rs. 49,550 – 71,420
Starting salary: Rs. 49,550, together with applicable government allowances.
