About the ACHRM Programme
The Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management is offered by the Department of Human Resource Management under the Faculty of Management Studies of The Open University of Sri Lanka.
This programme is intended for beginners who want to develop a strong academic and practical foundation in Human Resource Management. It provides knowledge and skills related to managing employees, developing human capital and handling workplace-related HR issues.
The programme is suitable for school leavers, employees, HR assistants and individuals who plan to begin or develop a professional career in Human Resource Management.
Direct Entry to OUSL Degree Programmes
Upon successful completion of the ACHRM programme, eligible students can gain direct entry to the relevant OUSL Bachelor of Management Studies Honours degree programmes without a selection test, subject to the university’s applicable admission rules.
Eligibility for Admission
Applicants must be over 16 years of age and should possess at least one of the following qualifications:
Qualification Route 01:
Successful completion of thirty credits at SLQF Level 1 or above, or successful completion of any certificate course conducted by The Open University of Sri Lanka.
Qualification Route 02:
Passed six subjects in one sitting at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, including Mathematics and First Language, with at least two Credit passes.
Qualification Route 03:
Passed NVQF Level 3 in a relevant field acceptable to the Senate of The Open University of Sri Lanka.
Qualification Route 04:
Any equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of The Open University of Sri Lanka.
