The Coconut Cultivation Board under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure has invited applications from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for several vacancies. Opportunities are available for degree holders as well as applicants with relevant NVQ qualifications.
The vacancies include positions in management, agriculture, finance, accounting, auditing, coconut development and nursery operations. Applicants who satisfy the required qualifications as at 07 September 2026 can submit their applications according to the instructions given in the vacancy notice.

1. Manager – Credit and Development
Workplace: Head Office
Qualifications:
- BSc Special Degree in Agriculture or Degree in Management recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- Three years of relevant work experience after obtaining the degree.
Salary Category: MM 1-1
Salary Scale: Rs. 91,690/- (2,480 × 10) (3,450 × 15) up to Rs. 168,240/-.
Age Limit: 22–45 years. The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.
2. Regional Manager
Workplace: Islandwide according to service requirements.
Qualifications:
- BSc Special Degree in Agriculture or Degree in Agriculture recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- Three years of relevant work experience after obtaining the degree.
Salary Category: MM 1-1
Salary Scale: Rs. 91,690/- to Rs. 168,240/-.
Age Limit: 22–45 years. The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.
3. Farm Planning Officer
Workplace: Islandwide according to service requirements.
Qualifications:
- BSc Special Degree in Agriculture, or BSc Degree with Agricultural Extension and Crop Science subjects recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- One year of experience in credit, extension and development activities in a state board, corporation or recognized private institution.
- Computer certificate from a recognized institution.
Salary Category: JM 1-1
Salary Scale: Rs. 74,010/- to Rs. 124,330/-.
Age Limit: 22–45 years.
4. Accounts Officer
Workplace: Islandwide according to service requirements.
Qualifications:
- A degree with Accounting as a subject recognized by the University Grants Commission; OR
- Intermediate examination of a recognized Chartered Professional Accountancy body; OR
- Higher National Diploma in Accounting.
- One year of accounting experience in a government, corporation or government-recognized institution.
Salary Category: JM 1-2
Salary Scale: Rs. 74,010/- to Rs. 124,330/-.
Age Limit: 22–45 years.
5. Internal Audit Officer
Workplace: Head Office
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Management with Financial Control as a subject recognized by the University Grants Commission; OR
- Bachelor of Commerce degree; OR
- Intermediate examination of a recognized Chartered Professional Accountancy body; OR
- Higher National Diploma in Accounting.
- One year of experience in accounting and auditing in a government, corporation or government-recognized institution.
Salary Category: JM 1-2
Salary Scale: Rs. 74,010/- to Rs. 124,330/-.
Age Limit: 22–45 years.
6. Coconut Development Officer
Workplace: Islandwide according to service requirements.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 5 or higher proficiency certificate related to the agriculture sector.
- The qualification should be obtained from a Technical/Vocational Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
Salary Category: MA 2-3
Salary Scale: Rs. 52,700/- to Rs. 100,490/-.
Age Limit: 18–45 years.
7. Resident Nursery Officer – Grade III
Workplace: Islandwide according to service requirements.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 5 or higher proficiency certificate related to the agriculture sector.
- The qualification should be obtained from a Technical/Vocational Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
Salary Category: MA 2-3
Salary Scale: Rs. 52,700/- to Rs. 100,490/-.
Age Limit: 18–45 years.
Important Salary Information
• The salary payment method is according to Circular 01/2025.
• For the relevant posts, the notice gives revised payment amounts applicable from 01 January 2026 and 01 January 2027.
• A cost of living allowance of Rs. 17,800/- and other applicable government allowances will be provided for the above posts.
Recruitment Method
Recruitment will be based on the results of a written competitive examination and/or a structured interview conducted by a panel appointed by the appointing authority.
General Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must possess the physical and mental fitness required to perform the duties of the post and serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
- Applicants must be of excellent character.
- Applicants must satisfy the relevant qualifications as at 07 September 2026.
